At Coimbatore Airport, BJP members welcomed Vanathi Srinivasan and L. Murugan by garlanding them, crowning them with flower wreaths, and showering them with flowers. தமிழகத்தின் வளர்ச்சிக்கு டபுள் இன்ஜின் சர்க்காராக உள்ள தேசிய ஜனநாயக கூட்டணி அரசுதான் தேவை எனவும், கடந்த ஐந்து ஆண்டுகளில் மத்திய அரசோடு திமுக அரசாங்கம் அனுசரணையாக இல்லாததால், தமிழகத்தின் வளர்ச்சி பாதிக்கப்பட்டதாகவும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
