It was announced that through the Mullai Periyar joint drinking water project, 24-hour drinking water would be supplied to 100 wards. Currently, that water is mixed with sewage. Proper drinking water has not been supplied to 250,000 households; in many places, pipes have not been properly laid, and the project has not reached some homes. Furthermore, major irregularities are occurring in the Town Planning Office. Whoever is at fault must be brought before the law. It is surprising that Minister Moorthy says the DMK will win in all 10 constituencies of Madurai.
