Residents of Bharat Rajiv Gandhi Nagar in Kolathur are complaining that the Tamil Nadu government is deliberately demolishing their homes and displacing the public! Because of this, we approached the Chief Minister's special division as well. Under the Right to Information Act, when we inquired, the government informed us in writing that it is an 'inlet and outlet of the lake.' When we made a request, the district administration denied it as a 'waterway,' but now they are saying, 'You are living on private land; you must vacate immediately.' Furthermore, on the night of December 8th, the police and security forces were brought into our entire area. They are saying, 'We are going to demolish houses that have been lived in for 50 years.' We have many doubts about this, so eviction work should not begin," he said tearfully. தமிழக முதலமைச்சர் மு.க. ஸ்டாலின் தொகுதியான கொளத்தூரின் மையப்பகுதியில் அமைந்திருக்கிறது பாரத் ராஜீவ் காந்தி நகர். இப்பகுதியில் சுமார் 200 குடும்பங்கள் 50 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேலாக வசித்துவருவதாகச் சொல்லப்படுகிறது. ஆனால் பாரத் ராஜீவ் காந்தி நகரின் பல தெருக்கள் தனிநபர் ஒருவரின் பெயரில் இருப்பதாகவும், நீதிமன்றம் அப்புறப்படுத்த ஆணையிட்டிருப்பதாகவும் கூறி வீடுகளை இடித்து பொதுமக்களை அப்புறப்படுத்தப்படவுள்ளதாகத் தெரிகிறது.

“பாரத் ராஜீவ் காந்தி நகரைச் சுற்றி எந்த நீர்வழித்தடங்களும் இப்போதில்லை. மூன்றாவது தலைமுறையாக வசித்துவருவதால் எங்களுக்கு பட்டா கொடுக்க வேண்டும் என கோரினோம். அதன்படி சென்னை மாவட்ட கலெக்டரிடம் பட்டா கேட்டு மனு கொடுத்தபோது, எங்கள் வீடுகளுக்கு பட்டா கேட்டு நாங்கள் மனு அளித்தபோது இந்தப் பகுதி ஏரி உள்வாயில் அரசு புறம்போக்கு நிலம் என்று தவிர்த்தார்கள். இதனால் நாங்கள் முதலமைச்சர் தனிப்பிரிவிலும், தகவல் அறியும் உரிமை சட்டத்தின் கீழும் கேட்டதில் அரசு ‘ஏரி உள்வாயில் புறம்போக்கு’ என்று எங்களுக்கு எழுத்துமூலமாக தெரிவித்தனர்.
நாங்கள் கோரிக்கை விடுத்தபோது ‘நீர்வழித்தடம்’ என மறுத்த மாவட்ட நிர்வாகம், தற்போது ‘தனிநபரின் நிலத்தில் நீங்கள் வசிக்கிறீர்கள், உடனடியாக காலிசெய்ய வேண்டும்’ என்கிறார்கள். மேலும் டிசம்பர் 8ம் தேதி இரவு எங்கள் ஏரியா முழுக்க போலீசாரையும் பாதுகாப்பு வளையத்துக்குள் கொண்டு வந்திருக்கிறார்கள். ‘50 ஆண்டுகளாக வசிக்கும் வீட்டை இடிக்க போறோம்னு சொல்றாங்க’. இதில் எங்களுக்கு பல்வேறு சந்தேகங்கள் இருப்பதால் அப்புறப்படுத்தும் பணிகளை தொடங்கக்கூடாது” என்றார் கண்ணீருடன்.
தொடர்ந்து பேசிய குடியிருப்புவாசிகள் சிலர் கூறியது:
“2021 சட்டமன்றத் தேர்தலில், வாக்கு கேட்க வந்த முதல்வர் தரப்பு எங்களுக்கு பட்டா தரப்படும், எந்த இடையூறும் இன்றி நீங்கள் வசிக்க நாங்கள் உதவியாக இருப்போம் என வாக்குறுதி கொடுத்தனர். அதை நம்பி பல முறை பட்டா கேட்டு அரசு அலுவலகங்களின் படிக்கட்டுகளை ஏறினோம். ‘ஏரி உள்வாயில் புறம்போக்கு பகுதியில் பட்டா தர முடியாது’ எனச் சொன்ன அரசு, இப்போது நாங்கள் வசிக்கும் நிலம் தனிநபரின் பெயரில் இருப்பதாகச் சொல்கிறது. இந்த இடைப்பட்ட 6 மாதத்தில் புறம்போக்கு நிலம் எப்படி தனிநபருக்கு மாறியது எனத் தெரியவில்லை. சிறுகச் சிறுக சேர்த்து நாங்கள் கட்டிய வீடுகளை விட்டு போகச் சொன்னால் எங்கே செல்வது? அரசு எங்களை அப்புறப்படுத்தும் பணியை தொடங்கக்கூடாது” என அவர்கள் குமுறினர்.
