“பேரவையில் தனிக்கட்சியைப் பற்றிய துதி பாடலும் கட்சித் தலைவரைப் பற்றிய துதி பாடலும்தான் அதிகமாக இருக்கிறது. கட்சியினர் தங்கள் தலைவரை துதிபாடும் இடமல்ல சட்டப்பேரவை. ஆளுநர் உரைக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் விவாதம் என்று பேரவைத் தலைவர் அறிவுறுத்தியும் தொடர்ந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறது. இது கவலைக்குரியதாக உள்ளது. அப்படியென்றால் நாங்களும் கேப்டன் விஜயகாந்த் பற்றி எவ்வளவோ பேசலாம். அது சரியான எடுத்துக்காட்டு அல்ல. ஆரோக்கியமான விவாதங்கள் வேண்டும்.
பேரவை நடவடிக்கைகளை முழுமையாக நேரலை செய்ய வேண்டும். மக்கள் வரிப் பணத்தில்தான் பேரவை நடக்கிறது. பேரவை நடவடிக்கைகளை மக்கள் பார்க்க வேண்டாமா? இதனை அவைத்தலைவர் கவனத்திற்கு கொண்டு செல்வேன்.

தண்ணீர், வேலைவாய்ப்பு என அனைத்திலும் தன்னிறைவு பெற்ற மாநிலமாக உருவாக வேண்டும். மக்களும் அதைத்தான் எதிர்பார்க்கிறார்கள்” என்று பேசினார்.
