If there has been any wrongdoing in the Ayodhya Ram Temple donation, an impartial investigation should be conducted into it, said the new head of the Ram Temple trust, Mahant Kamalnayan Das.
Mahipal Singh, who says he previously served as the head of the Ram Temple accounts department, had alleged that irregularities have been taking place in the donation money for a long time and that he was removed from his post because he filed a complaint about it. He had also named several people, accusing them of having committed irregularities in the donations.
Similarly, Uttar Pradesh former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, in a post on his social media page, said that crores of rupees had gone missing from the Ram Temple trust’s donation funds, that both the trust and the state government were maintaining silence on the matter, and that the court should suo motu take up the issue and investigate it as a case.
Meanwhile, Mahant Kamalnayan Das, the new chairman of the Ram Temple trust, has said that if any wrongdoing has occurred, it must be investigated.
He also said that the present world is full of accusations and counter-accusations, and that questions may arise about the investigation and those conducting it. He noted that an open investigation should be conducted; only then will all parties trust it, and the truth may also come out.
Meanwhile, the RSS organization has insisted that an investigation be conducted into the Ram temple donation controversy, and that a detailed report on the incident should also be prepared.
