Announcement of the candidate to contest the Rajya Sabha election to be held in Tamil Nadu on June 18.
With the seat allocated to the Congress party in the alliance led by TVK, Praveen Chakravarthy has been announced as the candidate to contest on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee.
First Cabinet Meeting!
The first cabinet meeting of the TVK government is scheduled to be held today (June 5) at the Chennai Secretariat. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Joseph Vijay, is being seen as the beginning of key administrative and policy decisions for the new government. Government sources say that a range of important issues, including the state’s future development plans, the budget, the women’s entitlement allowance, liquor policy, the Mekedatu dam issue, and the three-language policy controversy, are set to be discussed at the meeting.
