AIADMK MLAs Maragatham Kumaravel, Perundurai Jayakumar, and Sathyabama resigned from their MLA positions and joined TAVEG yesterday (May 25). Political leaders have condemned this, saying "TAVEG is staging a horse procession." Meanwhile, Congress MP Jothimani has posted about the horse procession politics on her ex-page. In the post released by the MLAs who joined TAVEG, it is stated, "TAVEG is in alliance with the Congress party. It has participated in the government. In this election, the people have made TAVEG leader Mr. C. Joseph Vijay the Chief Minister. They want him to deliver an excellent government."
The signs clearly show that he understands and acts accordingly. As an alliance party, we will certainly support him to provide excellent governance to the people of Tamil Nadu. However, the Congress party cannot support all the methods chosen by the DMK. Those methods must strengthen democracy, not weaken it. In such a situation, if we have differing opinions, it is both morally and politically right to express them without hesitation.
Tamil literature beautifully calls it the "friendship stab." No matter who justifies the Chief Minister Vijayakudhirai's horse name politics from the Congress party, it is wrong. In India, the BJP first took up the weapon called the horse name to weaken democracy and the Congress party. In various states where people elected the Congress party to govern, the BJP has been using the horse name against the people's verdict to prevent the Congress party from forming the government or to stop it from continuing in power even if it forms the government. "Is Kerala like Dubai?" asked DMK MLA Anita Radhakrishnan, who demanded permission for mineral-laden trucks, expressing anger that the Congress party in Tamil Nadu supports the horse name.
The Congress party can never take a dual stance of opposing Tamil Nadu from outside. If the Congress party acts as a force that weakens democracy, it would become a historical betrayal of the principles upheld by both Gandhi and Nehru. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has stated, "In a situation where Rahul Gandhi is uncompromisingly fighting for the Gandhian principle, anyone attempting to weaken that struggle is unacceptable." அவர் ஒரு சிறப்பான அரசாங்கத்தைத் தரவேண்டும் என்று விரும்புகிறார்கள். அவரும் அதைப் புரிந்துகொண்டு செயல்படுகிறார் என்பதற்கான முகாந்திரங்கள் தெளிவாகத் தெரிகிறது.
தமிழ்நாட்டு மக்களுக்கு ஒரு சிறப்பான ஆட்சியைத் தருவதற்கு ஒரு கூட்டணி கட்சியாக நிச்சயம் நாம் அவருக்குத் துணை நிற்போம். ஆனால் அதற்காக த.வெ.க தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் அனைத்து வழிமுறைகளையும் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி ஆதரிக்க முடியாது. அந்த வழிமுறைகள் ஜனநாயகத்தை வலுப்படுத்துவதாக இருக்கவேண்டும். பலவீனப்படுத்துவதாக இருக்கக் கூடாது.
இம்மாதிரியான சூழலில் மாற்றுக் கருத்துகள் நமக்கு இருக்குமேயானால் அதைத் தயங்காமல் வெளிப்படுத்துவதுதான் தார்மீக ரீதியாகவும், அரசியல் ரீதியாகவும் சரியானது. தோழமை சுட்டுதல் என்று தமிழ் இலக்கியம் அதை அழகாகச் சொல்கிறது.
குதிரைபேர அரசியலை காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியில் இருந்து யார் நியாயப்படுத்தினாலும் அது தவறானது. இந்தியாவில் ஜனநாயகத்தை, காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியைப் பலவீனப்படுத்த பாஜக முதலில் கையில் எடுத்த ஆயுதம் குதிரை பேரம். மக்கள் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியை ஆட்சி செய்ய தேர்ந்தெடுத்த பல்வேறு மாநிலங்களில் பாஜக மக்கள் தீர்ப்பிற்கு எதிராக, குதிரை பேரத்தைப் பயன்படுத்தி காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி ஆட்சி அமைக்க முடியாமலும், அமைத்தாலும் ஆட்சியில் தொடர்ந்து நீடிக்க முடியாமலும் தடுத்து வருகிறது.
தமிழ்நாட்டில் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி குதிரை பேரத்தை ஆதரிக்கும், தமிழ்நாட்டிற்கு வெளியே எதிர்க்கும் என்கிற இரட்டை நிலைப்பாட்டை காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி ஒருபோதும் எடுக்கமுடியாது. ஜனநாயகத்தைப் பலவீனப்படுத்தும் ஒரு சக்தியாக காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி செயல்பாடுமேயானால் அது காந்திக்கும் நேருவுக்கும் கொண்ட கொள்கைக்கும் செய்கிற வரலாற்றுத் துரோகமாக மாறிவிடும்.
தலைவர் ராகுல்காந்தி கொள்கைக்காக சமரசமற்றுப் போராடி வருகிற சூழலில் அந்தப் போராட்டத்தை பலவீனப்படுத்தும் முயற்சியில் ஈடுபடுபவர்கள் யாராக இருந்தாலும் அதை ஏற்கமுடியாது” என்று பதிவிட்டிருக்கிறார்.
