In the state of Chhattisgarh, the state government provides a monthly pension of 500 rupees to senior citizens. Banks have imposed several conditions to receive that pension amount. Sukmania, a resident of the village Jankalpara in Surguja district of Chhattisgarh, has a mother-in-law who is 90 years old. Every month, Sukmania's mother-in-law used to receive a pension of 500 rupees. Suddenly, the Central Bank administration in the nearby city stated that they cannot provide the pension and that the pension recipient must come in person to provide KYC details containing personal information.
Sukmania told the bank officials that her mother-in-law was too old to come, but the officials did not listen. As a result, the elderly woman has not received her pension for the past four months. With no other option, Sukmania decided to take her mother-in-law to the bank herself. She could not even afford to pay for an auto-rickshaw to cover the 9-kilometer distance to the bank. Therefore, Sukmania carried her mother-in-law on her back and walked towards the bank. Despite the intense heat, she continued walking. While she was walking, someone recorded a video of her and shared it on social media. That video has gone viral.
When asked by the person who took the video why they were carrying it, the bank employee explained that every month they used to come to the house and give the pension. However, due to KYC issues, the bank management had not come to the house to give the pension for four months. That is why they were carrying it to the bank. After Sugmania went to the bank and completed the KYC documentation in front of the officials, the bank management deposited the pending amount of Rs. 2,000 for the four months into the old woman's bank account. Regarding this, local panchayat officer Kushboo said, "Until January of this year, they used to come to the old woman's house and give the pension."
However, the pension had been stopped due to document issues. Now that the documents have been submitted, they said the pension will be delivered to his home starting next month.

இதனையடுத்து சுக்மானியா தனது மாமியாரை முதுகில் சுமந்தபடி வங்கியை நோக்கி நடந்தார். அவர் கடுமையான வெயிலையும் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் வங்கிக்கு நடந்தே சென்றார். அவ்வாறு நடந்து சென்றபோது ஒருவர் அதனை வீடியோ எடுத்து அதனை சமூக வலைத்தள பக்கத்தில் பகிர்ந்துள்ளார். அந்த வீடியோ வைரலாகி இருக்கிறது. வீடியோ எடுத்த நபர் ஏன் சுமந்து செல்கிறீர்கள் என்று கேட்டதற்கு, வங்கி ஊழியர் ஒவ்வொரு மாதமும் வீட்டிற்கு வந்து ஓய்வூதியத்தை கொடுத்துவிட்டு செல்வார். ஆனால் கே.ஒய்.சி பிரச்னையால் வங்கி நிர்வாகம் 4 மாதங்களாக வீட்டிற்கு வந்து ஓய்வூதியத்தை கொடுக்கவில்லை.
எனவேதான் வங்கிக்கு சுமந்து செல்கிறேன் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார். சுக்மானியா வங்கிக்கு சென்று அதிகாரிகள் முன்னிலையில் கே.ஒய்.சியை ஆவணத்தை பூர்த்தி செய்து கொடுத்தவுடன் 4 மாதத்திற்கான நிலுவைத்தொகையான ரூ.2 ஆயிரத்தை வங்கி நிர்வாகம் அந்த மூதாட்டியின் வங்கிக்கணக்கில் வரவு வைத்தது.
இது குறித்து உள்ளூர் பஞ்சாயத்து அதிகாரி குஷ்பூ கூறுகையில்,” கடந்த ஜனவரி மாதம் வரை அந்த மூதாட்டிக்கு வீட்டிற்கு சென்று ஓய்வூதியம் கொடுத்துக்கொண்டிருந்தார்கள். ஆனால் ஆவண பிரச்னையால் ஓய்வூதியம் நிறுத்தப்பட்டு இருந்தது. தற்போது ஆவணங்கள் கொடுக்கப்பட்டு விட்டதால் அடுத்த மாதத்தில் இருந்து அவரது வீட்டிற்கே சென்று ஓய்வூதியத்தை வழங்குவார்கள்”என்று தெரிவித்தார்.
