Karur Town DSP Selvaraj has been transferred to Thoothukudi district, Kulithalai DSP to Cuddalore district, and Aravakurichi DSP Abdul Kabir to Dharmapuri district. Ten police inspectors, including Karur Special Division Police Inspector Manivannan and Karur City Police Inspector Arul Prakash, have been transferred to the southern and northern divisions. Five officers, including Special Assistant Police Inspectors of the Special Division and Chief Police Officers, have also been transferred to the southern and northern divisions. This transfer order has been issued through the Police Headquarters. What is the reason behind this sudden transfer along with others?
When I inquired within the police department, they said, "Generally, police officers act in support of the ruling party. Moreover, it is common practice among politicians to bring officers they trust to their district. However, the consequence of showing excessive loyalty to the ruling party minister rather than just working for the government is what has now turned into a backlash. Most of the officers listed for transfer were those who served during the tragic incident in Karur on September 27 last year, rather than being loyalists of the former minister," they say in the police department.
Over the past five years, people remained loyal to the former minister, and even though the government has changed and appearances have shifted, their trust has not wavered, and their spy work has continued. That is why they called it a 'dramatic change.'

ஆனால், அரசுக்கு வேலை பார்த்ததை விட ஆளும் கட்சி அமைச்சருக்கு ஆதரவாக எல்லை மீறிய விசுவாசம் காட்டியதன் விளைவு தான் இன்று எதிர் வினையாக மாறியுள்ளது என்கிறார்கள்.
இடம் மாற்றம் பட்டியலில் உள்ளவர்கள் பெரும்பாலான காவல்துறை அதிகாரிகள் கடந்த ஆண்டு செப்டம்பர் 27ஆம் தேதி கரூரில் நடந்த துயர சம்பவத்தின் போது பணியாற்றியவர்கள் என்பதை விட முன்னாள் அமைச்சரின் விசுவாசிகளாக இருந்தவர்கள் என்கிறார்கள் காக்கி வட்டாரத்தில்.
கடந்த ஐந்து ஆண்டு காலம் முன்னாள் அமைச்சருக்கு விசுவாசமாக இருந்தார்கள் என்பதை விட தற்போது ஆட்சி மாறினாலும், காட்சி மாறினாலும் இன்னும் விசுவாசம் மாறாமல் இவர்களின் ஸ்ஃபை வேலை தொடர்ந்துள்ளது. இதனால் தான் இந்த அதிரடி மாற்றம்’ என்றனர்.
