In the West Bengal Assembly elections, the BJP won in 207 constituencies and took power. முன்னாள் மாநில பாஜக தலைவர் திலிப் கோஷ் பிற்படுத்தப்பட்ட வகுப்பைச் சேர்ந்தவர். ஆடை வடிவமைப்பாளரான அக்னிமித்ரா பால், காயஸ்தர் சமூகத்தைச் சேர்ந்தவர். அமைச்சரவையில் இடம்பெற்றுள்ள பாஜகவின் ஒரே பெண் முகமாகவும் உள்ளார். அக்னிமித்ரா கடந்த 2019ம் ஆண்டுதான் பா.ஜ.கவில் தன்னை இணைத்துக்கொண்டார்.
ஜன சங்கத்தின் நிறுவனரான சியாம பிரசாத் முகர்ஜியின் பிறந்த மண்ணான மேற்கு வங்கத்தில் ஆட்சியைப் பிடிப்பது பா.ஜ.கவின் கனவாக இருந்தது. இப்போது அந்தக் கனவு நிறைவேறி முதல் பா.ஜ.க அரசு பதவியேற்று இருக்கிறது.
மேலும், நோபல் பரிசு பெற்ற ரவீந்திரநாத் தாகூரின் பிறந்தநாளை ‘ரவீந்திர ஜெயந்தி’யாகக் கொண்டாடும் மே 9-ஆம் தேதியை, பதவியேற்பு விழாவுக்காக பாஜக தேர்ந்தெடுத்தது.
