தமிழக சட்டமன்ற தேர்தல் முடிவுகளுக்கு பிறகு அரசியல் களத்தில் பல்வேறு மாற்றங்கள் நிகழும் என எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. குறிப்பாக தேசிய கட்சியான காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தலைமையில் மாற்றம் ஏற்பட உள்ளதாக தகவல்கள் வெளியாகியுள்ளது.
காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தமிழக தலைவராக இருக்கிறார் செல்வபெருந்தகை.
இந்த பதவிக்கு இவர் வந்து சுமார் இரண்டு ஆண்டுகளை கடந்துவிட்டது. தமிழகத்தில் நடந்து முடிந்துள்ள சட்டமன்ற தேர்தலில் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி யாருடன் கூட்டணி வைப்பது என்கிற பஞ்சாயத்து பெரும் விவாதத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது. குறிப்பாக காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் எம்.பிக்கள் மாணிக்கம் தாகூர், ஜோதிமணி உள்ளிட்டவர்கள் த.வெ.க-வுடன் இணைந்து தேர்தலை சந்திக்கலாம் என வெளிப்படையாகவே கருத்து தெரிவித்தனர்.
