During the Corona period, Sathankulam Phoenix and Jayaraj, a father and son who were arrested on charges of keeping the shop open for extra hours, were brutally beaten to death by police officers. இந்த தீர்ப்புக்குப் பிறகு செய்தியாளர்களைச் சந்தித்த ஜெயராஜ் – பென்னிக்ஸ் குடும்பத்தினர், “எங்களைப் போல இன்னொருக் குடும்பம் பாதிக்கப்படக்கூடாது என நாங்கள் நினைத்தோம். அதற்காகதான் சட்டப்போராட்டத்தில் உறுதியாக இருந்தோம். எங்கள் நம்பிக்கையைக் காப்பாற்றும் வகையில்தான் இப்போது தீர்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. எங்களுக்கான நீதி கிடைத்திருக்கிறது.
