After a long delay, the Congress party has announced the candidates for the upcoming assembly elections today. இது தமிழ்நாட்டின் அரசியல் மற்றும் தேர்தல் வரலாற்றில் இதற்குமுன்பு நிகழ்ந்திராத ஒன்று. கொங்கு வெள்ளாள கவுண்டர் சமூகத்தின் உட்பிரிவுகளுக்கு இரண்டு தொகுதிகளை வழங்கியுள்ள காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி, பெரும்பான்மையான கொங்கு வெள்ளாள கவுண்டர் சமூகத்தைப் புறக்கணித்திருப்பதைப் புரிந்துகொள்ள முடியவில்லை. அதே போல 28 தொகுதிகளில் ஆறு தனித்தொகுதிகளைக் கேட்டுப்பெற்ற காங்கிரஸ் கட்சி ,மிகவும் பின் தங்கிய ,விளிம்புநிலை சமூகமான அருந்ததியர் சமூகத்திற்கு வாய்ப்பை மறுத்திருக்கிறது. இரண்டு பெண்களுக்கு மட்டுமே வாய்ப்பு வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இது காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் சமூக நீதிக் கோட்பாட்டிற்கும், சமூகத்தின் கடைக்கோடி மக்களுக்காகப் போராடும் தலைவர் ராகுல்காந்தி அவர்களின் அரசியல் நிலைப்பாட்டிற்கும் எதிரானது. தமிழ்நாடு காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் தலைவர்,சட்டமன்ற கட்சித் தலைவர் மற்றும் பொறுப்பாளர்களுக்கு தமிழ்நாட்டில் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் எதிர்காலத்தைப் பற்றியோ,தமிழ்நாடு எதிர் நோக்கியுள்ள கடுமையான அரசியல் சூழலைப் பற்றியோ , உண்மையான கட்சித் தொண்டர்களின் உணர்வுகளைப் பற்றியோ எவ்வித கவலையும் ,அக்கறையும் இல்லை என்பது தெளிவு. இவர்களின் பட்டியலை ஏற்க மறுக்கின்ற உரிமை ஒவ்வொரு காங்கிரஸ் தொண்டருக்கும் உண்டு. அதுதான் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் வலிமையான ஜனநாயகத் தன்மை.
