Udhayanidhi, the Deputy Chief Minister representing DMK, is contesting from the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency. Yesterday, Udhayanidhi began his campaign sentimentally within the constituency with the 2021 Connect. As the Deputy Chief Minister, Udhayanidhi is conducting an intense campaign across Tamil Nadu in support of DMK and its alliance party candidates. Meanwhile, yesterday (April 2), he also filed his nomination for the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency where he is contesting. Having filed his nomination in the morning, he planned to start his campaign in his constituency by evening. For this, the district secretary, Sirrarasu, had made grand arrangements with the Melathalams.
At around 5:30 PM, Udhayanidhi started his campaign from Ayodhya Nagar near Vivekanandar Illam. In the 2021 elections as well, Udhayanidhi began his campaign from the same point within the constituency. Since Udhayanidhi achieved a great victory in that election, this time too, sentimentally, he started the campaign from the same place. Moreover, before starting the campaign, Udhayanidhi, Dayanidhi Maran, and Chitrarasu participated in a special prayer at the nearby Sengeni Amman Temple. Speaking within the constituency, Udhayanidhi said, "This is the constituency where Kalaignar won three times. This time too, I will work hard to win by a large margin. Chennai will always be under DMK's rule."

திமுக சார்பில் துணை முதல்வர் உதயநிதி சேப்பாக்கம் – திருவல்லிக்கேணி தொகுதியில் போட்டியிடுகிறார். நேற்று பிரசாரத்துக்கு வந்த உதயநிதி 2021 கனெக்ட்டோடு செண்டிமெண்டாக தனது பிரசாரத்தை தொகுதிக்குள் ஆரம்பித்தார்.
துணை முதல்வரான உதயநிதி திமுக மற்றும் அதன் கூட்டணி கட்சி வேட்பாளர்களை ஆதரித்து தமிழகம் முழுவதும் தீவிர பிரசாரத்தை நடத்திவருகிறார். இதற்கிடையில் நேற்று (ஏப்ரல் 2) அவர் போட்டியிடும் சேப்பாக்கம் – திருவல்லிக்கேணி தொகுதியில் வேட்புமனுவையும் தாக்கல் செய்திருந்தார்.
காலையில் வேட்புமனு தாக்கல் செய்திருந்த நிலையில், மாலையிலேயே தனது தொகுதியில் பிரசாரத்தை தொடங்க திட்டமிட்டிருந்தார். அதற்காக மாவட்டச் செயலாளர் சிற்றரசு மேளதாளங்களுடன் பிரமாண்ட ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்திருந்தார்.
மாலை 5:30 மணியளவில் விவேகானந்தர் இல்லம் அருகே இருக்கும் அயோத்தியா நகரிலிருந்துதான் உதயநிதி பிரசாரத்தை தொடங்கினார். கடந்த 2021 தேர்தலிலும் உதயநிதி இதே பாயிண்ட்டில் இருந்துதான் தொகுதிக்குள் பிரசாரத்தை தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார்.
அந்தத் தேர்தலில் பெரு வெற்றிப் பெற்றதால் இந்த முறையும் சென்டிமென்டாக அதே இடத்திலிருந்து பிரசாரத்தை தொடங்கியிருக்கிறார். மேலும், பிரசாரத்தை தொடங்குவதற்கு முன்பு அருகே இருக்கும் செங்கேணி அம்மன் கோவிலில் உதயநிதி, தயாநிதி மாறன், சிற்றரசு ஆகியோர் சிறப்பு வழிபாட்டில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.
தொகுதிக்குள் பேசிய உதயநிதி, ‘கலைஞர் மூன்று முறை வென்ற தொகுதி இது. இந்த முறையும் பெரிய வாக்கு வித்தியாசத்தில் வெல்லவே உழைக்கிறேன். சென்னை எப்போதும் திமுகவசம்தான்’ என்றார்.
