The AIADMK leadership has allocated the Ooty (Udhagamandalam) constituency in Nilgiris district to the alliance party BJP. In the 2021 Assembly elections, the Ooty constituency was allocated to the BJP alliance, which faced defeat against the Congress candidate.
In this election, many AIADMK officials have been insisting that the Ooty constituency should not be allocated to the BJP. ஆனால், ஊட்டி தொகுதியை பா.ஜ.க -வுக்கு ஒதுக்கீடு செய்து அதிகாரப்பூர்வ அறிவிப்பை வெளியிட்டுள்ளது அ.தி.மு.க தலைமை. இதனை சற்றும் எதிர்பாராத அக்கட்சியின் நிர்வாகிகள், ஊட்டியில் உள்ள நீலகிரி மாவட்ட அ.தி.மு.க அலுவலகத்தில் நேற்று மாலை ஆர்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளனர்.

சமவெளி பகுதியில் பா.ஜ.க – விற்கான தொகுதிகளை ஒதுக்க இருப்பதாக தலைமை கூறியிருந்தது. ஆனால், கடைசி நேரத்தில் இப்படி செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். இந்த முடிவை தலைமை நிச்சயம் மறு பரிசீலனை செய்ய வேண்டும் என்று ஆர்பாட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டோம்” என்றனர்.
