Karur: Following the Supreme Court order, a CBI letter has been submitted in the district court regarding the Karur stampede case. On September 26, 41 people lost their lives in a stampede during a campaign meeting in Velusamipuram, Karur district. The Karur city police initially investigated the case, and on October 3, the High Court ordered the formation of a special investigation team. The special investigation team began its inquiry on October 5, and on October 13, the Supreme Court ordered the case to be transferred to the CBI.
