Sanitation workers have been conducting continuous protests within Chennai against privatization and for job permanency. Following this, starting today (10.01.26), sanitation workers sought permission from the police to hold a hunger strike near Rajarathinam Stadium in Chennai. However, the police denied permission for the protest, stating that the sanitation workers' protest could cause law and order problems.
