Municipal elections are scheduled to be held across Maharashtra, including the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, on the 15th of this month. For the first time in this election, the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena led by Raj Thackeray are contesting in alliance. Ambulance services and a cancer hospital will be started in the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. Free parking will be introduced in Mumbai Municipal Corporation parking lots, bus fares will be reduced, and special funds for residential buildings will be provided, among many other free schemes announced. Women and students will have free bus travel.
They have outlined plans to provide financial assistance for young people to start businesses. Additionally, in the coming days, the Thackeray brothers have decided to jointly engage in campaigning. However, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has stated that the Thackeray brand will not contest in the elections.
