Meanwhile, yesterday, during an election campaign, Vanathi Srinivasan suddenly developed swelling in her leg. As a result, she was admitted to a private hospital on Avinashi Road for treatment. The doctors who examined her there advised her to take rest for 48 hours. Due to this, BJP members within the constituency are campaigning and gathering votes in support of the candidate Vanathi Srinivasan in her absence. Vanathi Srinivasan has been admitted to the hospital due to a mild infection in her right leg. She has been given antibiotic medication and other supportive treatments and has been advised to rest for two days. It is reported that Vanathi Srinivasan developed a mild allergy to one of the medications she was taking while receiving treatment at Arudra Hospital, where Annamalai stated, "Kanimozhi will start a separate party if DMK loses!" Due to this, she was transferred to the ICU for monitoring.

இதனிடையே வானதி சீனிவாசன் உடல்நிலை குறித்து மருத்துவமனை நிர்வாகம் அறிக்கை மூலம் விளக்கம் அளித்துள்ளது. அதில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது, “வானதி சீனிவாசனுக்கு வலது காலில் ஏற்பட்ட லேசான தொற்று காரணமாக மருத்துவமனையில் அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளார். அவருக்கு ஆன்டிபயாட்டிக் மருந்துகள் மற்றும் பிற ஆதரவு சிகிச்சைகள் அளிக்கப்பட்டு, இரண்டு நாட்கள் ஓய்வு எடுக்க அறிவுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
மருத்துவமனையில் சிகிச்சை பெற்று கொண்டிருந்தபோது, அவர் எடுத்த மருந்துகளில் ஒன்றினால் லேசான அலர்ஜி ஏற்பட்டது. இதன் காரணமாக கண்காணிப்பிற்காக ஐசியூ பிரிவிற்கு மாற்றப்பட்டார்.” எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
