A special debate was held yesterday (Dec. 8) during the parliamentary session to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the writing of India's national song, "Vande Mataram." Prime Minister Modi initiated the debate with his speech in the Lok Sabha. In his speech, Modi harshly criticized the late former Prime Minister Nehru and the Congress party. Congress members responded to Modi's remarks regarding "Vande Mataram." During the debate on the song, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra said, "To preserve its dignity, MPs were instructed by the Rajya Sabha Secretariat two weeks ago not to raise any slogans like 'Jai Hind' or 'Vande Mataram.' இந்தியாவின் தேசியப் பாடலான `வந்தே மாதரம்’ பாடல் எழுதப்பட்டு 150 ஆண்டுகள் நிறைவடைந்ததைக் கொண்டாடும் வகையில், நாடாளுமன்ற கூட்டத் தொடரில் நேற்று (டிச.8) சிறப்பு விவாதம் நடைபெற்றது.
பிரதமர் மோடி, மக்களவையில் தனது உரை மூலம் இந்த விவாதத்தைத் தொடங்கி வைத்தார்.
மோடி தனது உரையில், மறைந்த முன்னாள் பிரதமர் நேருவையும் காங்கிரஸையும் கடுமையாக விமர்சித்துப் பேசினார்.
காங்கிரஸ் உறுப்பினர்களும் ‘வந்தே மாதரம்’ தொடர்பான மோடியின் பேச்சுக்கு பதில் அளித்து வந்தனர்.
அந்தவகையில் ‘வந்தே மாதரம்’ பாடல் குறித்த விவாதத்தின்போது பேசிய திரிணாமுல் காங். எம்.பி. மஹுவா மொய்த்ரா, “அவையின் மாண்பைக் காக்க எம்.பி.க்கள் ‘ஜெய்ஹிந்த், வந்தே மாதரம்’ உள்ளிட்ட எந்த கோஷங்களும் எழுப்பக் கூடாது என மாநிலங்களவை செயலகம் 2 வாரங்களுக்கு முன்பு, செய்தி அனுப்பியது.
இப்போது திடீரென வந்தே மாதரம் பாடல் குறித்து 10 மணி நேரம் விவாதம் அரசால் நடத்தப்படுகிறது. ஏன்? என்ற காரணத்தையும் நான் சொல்கிறேன்.
இதைச் செய்தால் மேற்கு வங்கத் தேர்தலில் வெல்லலாம் என பாஜக ஐ.டி. விங் அரைகுறைகள் யாராவது ஐடியா கூறியிருப்பார்கள்” என்று தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்.
