New Delhi: The bomb blast at the Nowgam police station in Jammu and Kashmir was an unexpected incident, stated Prashant Lokhande, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jammu and Kashmir division. Speaking to reporters in Delhi about the blast, he said, "Based on the guns recovered from suspiciously pasted posters in Jammu and Kashmir, the Nowgam police recently seized a large cache of explosives. The Nowgam police are conducting an investigation based on FIR 162/2025 registered in this regard. The seized explosives and chemicals were stored openly at the police station following standard procedures."
